Top 10 Tuesday: New Books with School Themes

I've moved into my new library at Swansfield Elementary, but even though the students won't start until after Labor Day, back-to-school is all I can think about. That also means that back-to-school books are all I can think about. Here's a stack of new school-themed books of all types. Some of the stories take place in libaries, while others are in classrooms. Some feature stories about friendship, while others have characters who stick out (even when they're not trying to). One story includes the most unique class pet I have ever seen, while another uniquely shares the school experience through different voices. And one is a book and a song that I bet will be sung a lot this year.

Bring this list to your local library or independent bookstore and add your own favorites in the comments below!
